New Power on 2009

After a thorough update to the exterior and interior for the 2008 model year, the Ford Escape receives new powertrains for 2009.

 

The previous 2.3-liter 4-cylinder engines is replaced by a more powerful 2.5-liter four that also replaces the Hybrid's 4-cylinder, while the V6 receives more power.

The previous 4-speed automatic is replaced by a modern 6-speed transmission.
